Slovak Prime Minister Reacts to Ukraine’s Gas Decision
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is considering how to respond to Ukraine’s decision to stop sending Russian gas to Europe. He made his comments on Facebook.
Fico called Ukraine’s decision “Zelenskyy’s sabotage“. He said that this move will cost Slovakia 500 million euros every year. The Slovak government will discuss the issue next Tuesday.
Fico wants Ukraine to either start sending gas again or pay for the loss of public funds. He also threatened to reduce support for Ukrainian citizens living in Slovakia.
Ukraine stopped sending gas to Europe on January 1, 2025.
