Slovak President says that Ukraine’s immediate membership in NATO is ‘not realistic’ following a meeting with Scholz

After meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin on October 24, Slovakian president Peter Pellegrini stated that Ukraine’ immediate membership in NATO was “not real.”
Pellegrini said, “We agreed with the German Chancellor that the issue of Ukraine’s accession today is not on the agenda and cannot be brought to the agenda.”
Scholz and his office have not publicly commented on Germany’s view of Ukraine’s five point plan. The list includes Kyiv inviting to join NATO at the top.
