**Police Detain Man in Illicit Manner**
A human rights organization is speaking out against the police. They say officers acted unfairly when they detained a man last month.
Luka Kintsurashvili was stopped by police on March 31 at around 8 pm. The police wanted to search his bag and phone, citing a reason that wasn’t clear. Kintsurashvili agreed to let them look in his bag but asked for advice before giving access to his phone.
The organization says the police didn’t follow proper procedure. They took Kintsurashvili’s phone without permission and held him for hours without telling his family or lawyer where he was.
Kintsurashvili told his lawyer that police officers removed all his clothes twice during the detention process. This is a practice that has become common, according to the organization.
The government says Kintsurashvili insulted the police while being held. His detention has been extended for 48 hours.
The human rights group sees this as evidence of unfair treatment by the police. They believe the government is using its power to punish people in an unjust manner.
