**Ukrainian Parliament Meeting Canceled Due to Threat of Russian Strike**
A meeting of the Ukrainian parliament, scheduled for November 22, has been canceled. This is due to a credible threat of a targeted Russian strike on government buildings in Kyiv.
Lawmakers were planning to hold a Q&A session at the Verkhovna Rada building. However, an air raid alert was issued in Kyiv and several other areas after a reported drone threat.
**Tensions Escalate**
The development comes as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to escalate. Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a new missile called “Oreshnik” in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian facilities.
Putin said the test was a response to Ukraine targeting facilities in Russia’s Kursk and Bryansk oblasts with Western-supplied missiles. The Oreshnik missile is designed to carry nuclear weapons, but was not armed with a nuclear warhead in this instance.
**Russian President Warns Other Countries**
Putin warned that Russia would use its weapons against any country whose arms are used to strike Russian targets. This has raised concerns about the possibility of further conflict in the region.
