**Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Refinery and Pumping Station**
Last night, Ukrainian drones operated by the Special Operations Forces (SSO) and Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked two important Russian oil facilities. The attack took place in the Krasnodar Krai region.
The Ilsky Oil Refinery was hit by the Ukrainian drones. This refinery is already known to have been targeted multiple times before. It has six oil refining units with a total capacity of 6.6 million tons per year. The source said that there was a fire at the plant after the attack.
In addition, the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in Kuban was also hit by Ukrainian drones. This is the largest oil pumping station in Russia’s Caspian Pipeline Consortium. According to the source, the station was taken out of operation as a result of the attack. However, the source added that oil is now being pumped out bypassing the station.
**Why Ukraine Attacked Russian Oil Facilities**
Ukraine considers Russian oil facilities to be valid military targets. This is because fossil fuel profits are used by Moscow to fund its war machine. The Ukrainian military has launched repeated attacks against Russian refineries using long-range drones.
The source stated that the SBU and SSO of the Armed Forces continue to introduce “drone sanctions” against Russian enterprises that work for the enemy’s military-industrial complex.
