South Korean media reported that on 21 October 2024 they were considering sending military and intelligence personnel into Ukraine as a response to North Korea‘s deployment troops to support Russia.
Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un signed an agreement in June, promising mutual defense assistance if either country was invaded or engaged in war. South Korea has previously indicated that it might consider providing arms to Ukraine, but only if the aid is non-lethal, such as humanitarian supplies.
