Natia Ioseliani is the spokesperson for CEC. She says that there are 3.5 million registered voters on the unified list. Of these, 95,000 are foreign-registered voters.
Before the elections, as the speaker of CEC said in the “PalitraNews ” program “Resume”, everyone will receive a voter card and an information book, which will describe in detail what you will find in the polling station.

According to Ioseliani the Central Election Commission created 67 precincts abroad in 42 countries for Georgian citizens.
“There are approximately 95,000 voters abroad.” Citizens of Georgia can vote abroad at the polling stations created by the CEC one month earlier. The CEC has opened polling stations in diplomatic missions and consular institutions. We couldn’t do this because of the talk about Strasbourg where there is no diplomatic presence. “CEC followed all the legal procedures”, said Ioseliani.
The CEC speaker also spoke on the program about what the voter will experience at the polling station.
“On October 26th, voters can come to a polling station between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. The voter must bring a Georgian passport or ID card with him to the polling station.
The first thing that the voter must do at the polling station is to check the markings. The voter must then present an ID card or passport. Verification machines will replace desk lists to meet voters. After being sent to the registrar it will be electronically checked. The ID card is brought to the appropriate lane on the verification machine where the voter’s data will be displayed. The machine will then print a receipt with all of the voter’s information. The voter can then sign the receipt to confirm his participation in the election. “This is an unmistakable evidence that the voter went to the polling station,” said he.
According to the spokesperson of the CEC, the primary results will be announced 2 hours after the voting procedure.
“After the voting process finishes at 20:00 there are a few stages that are required by law. If the voters used a portable ballot, they must also place their ballots in the vote-counting machine. After that, with a push of a key, we will be able to know the primary results. We expect to announce the primary results within two hours. “After the data has been sent to the CEC the manual counting process will begin in the precincts,” Ioseliani stated.
