VyacheslavVolodin, the Speaker of Russia‘s Duma, claims that Washington has not allowed Georgia to become a state.
“The draft laws submitted to the Georgian parliament on foreign agents was unacceptable to Washington, as it sought to limit Washington’s influence on the domestic politics of the country. By removing the draft laws from consideration in the Parliament, Georgia lost its chance of sovereignty,” Volodin claimed on Telegram. Washington was using “soft power levers to get people out into the streets.”
He said that only the United States could make a decision on its own, while the rest of the world was bound by Washington’s rules.
The Russian MP warned that “any state that does not agree with this will receive a “color-revolution” as a response.”
According to him if the laws are adopted, Georgia will have the right of controlling the funds that come into the country from abroad, and which are used for financing political parties.
