**Germany Plans EU Sanctions Against Georgia**

According to Spiegel, Germany’s Foreign Ministry is working on a plan to impose sanctions on specific Georgian officials and politicians. The initiative will be announced on December 16 at a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

It is planned to form a “coalition of the willing” to introduce individual-level sanctions against certain representatives of the ruling party, “Georgian Dream“. Visa restrictions are also being considered.
