Spotify has now made its AI Playlist tool available in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand, after initially launching it for Premium subscribers in the U.K. and Australia. This feature, currently in beta on Android and iOS devices, allows users to create personalized playlists based on written prompts. For example, you can enter “a romantic playlist for date night at home” and receive a customized selection of songs to match the mood. You can further refine the playlist by adding more prompts, and Spotify also provides suggestions for prompts. The company recommends mixing genres, moods, artists, and decades to create unique playlists tailored to individual tastes. Additionally, users can add locations, animals, movie characters, colors, and even emojis to further customize their experience. According to Spotify, the AI feature has been successful in the U.K. and Australia, with subscribers creating “millions of playlists that they keep coming back to.” To access the AI-powered playlist creation tool, go to the “Your Library” tab and select the plus button (+) at the top right of the screen. Then, choose “AI Playlist” in the menu next to “Playlist” and “Blend.” Tap the “Create” button to save the playlist to your library.
