The National Center for Disease Control announced that all citizens will be able to receive free seasonal flu vaccinations starting November 4. The four-component Abbott Biologicals B.V. vaccine will be used to immunize the public. This vaccine is specifically designed to combat strains expected to circulate in the upcoming flu season.
In order to implement the initiative, the vaccine will be administered first to those most susceptible to influenza, then to other willing citizens. Approximately 37,000 citizens, aged at least 6 months, have been vaccinated.
The public is encouraged to use this opportunity to protect themselves from the spread of influenza in the facilities that offer the service.
