**Protest at Science Technology Park in Belgrade**
Employees at the Science Technology Park (STP) in Belgrade held a protest on Monday. They are unhappy about the sudden dismissal of their director, Gordana Danilovic Grkovic.
The staff were told that the director was removed overnight. This has caused concern among employees, who fear for what will happen next and how the park will change. The former director is known to be hard-working and had received a top award in Serbia.
One employee, Aleksandar Milojkovic, said that the dismissal may have been because the director supported student protesters. He believes this was not fair or legal.
A new person has been appointed as the director, but employees are waiting for more information about what will happen next.
This protest is part of a bigger pattern in Serbia where people who think differently from the government are being pushed out. Employees want to remind everyone that there should be no fear in thinking and speaking up.
The protest started at 11:52 am with a minute’s silence for those who lost their lives in an accident at a train station in November.
