A political party called “Strong Georgia” has asked the Parliament to take away their mandates. This means they want their positions in the government to be given to someone else.
The leaders of “Strong Georgia” went to the Parliament and wrote a statement saying they don’t think this parliament is legitimate. They said that the results of the last elections were not real, and therefore, the current parliament does not have the right to make decisions.
Other political parties have also had their registration canceled by the Central Election Administration. This includes “Coalition for Change”, “Unity-National Movement“, and a part of “Strong Georgia”. The leaders of “Coalition for Change” went to the Parliament and wrote statements saying they want to give up their mandates.
One leader from “Unity National Movement” has also applied to cancel his mandate.
