**Belgrade Students Block Public Transport Depot**
A group of students from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Mathematics blocked the Belgrade City Public Transport Company (GSP) depot in New Belgrade at 3 am on Friday. They made it clear that they would not leave until further notice.
The students said they wanted to show their support for workers who are planning a general strike or work stoppage. They claimed that this would cause big problems for the city, especially since many public transport lines park in the depot.
**Students Allow Special Vehicles To Pass**
A student representative told N1 that they were not against children with special needs and people with disabilities using public transport. They said these vehicles could still move freely during the blockade.
Other students from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Agriculture joined in on Instagram, asking citizens to join them in supporting educators who are fighting for better working conditions.
**Public Transport Affected**
According to the Serbian state TV (RTS), all tram lines and 16 bus routes were halted due to the blockade. This means that a total of 280 public transport vehicles are not running in Belgrade.
