**University Students Protest in Serbia**
A group of university students in the city of Nis, southern Serbia, have started a protest by blocking the offices of the National Employment Service.
The students walked into the employment office and asked if they needed to be members of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) to get a job. They wanted to know what was required to find work in the country.
**What’s happening?**
Dozens of students waited in line to ask employment staff about membership requirements. One student, who didn’t want to be named, said the protest is an indirect blockade of institutions.
The students were told by office staff that a party membership card is not needed to get a job.
