**Poll: Ukrainians Hope Trump Will Bring Peace**
A recent survey in Ukraine shows that many people think President-elect Donald Trump‘s victory could bring peace to the country sooner.
The poll was done by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology. They asked 985 people over the phone from December 2 to 17. Almost half, or 45%, of those who answered said they believe a peaceful resolution is closer with Trump in charge.
**Optimism and Doubts**
Some people are very optimistic about Trump’s impact on the war. Fifteen percent think peace will come much sooner. Another 30% feel it will come a bit sooner.
However, others are concerned that Trump might pressure Ukraine to make concessions to Russia. This has happened before when Trump criticized the US for giving Ukraine military aid.
**Mixed Expectations**
Twenty-nine percent of those polled think both sides, Ukraine and Russia, will make concessions and there won’t be any clear winner or loser. Eighteen percent were unsure about what would happen next.
