**Sweden Announces Largest Military Aid Package for Ukraine**
Sweden has announced a massive military aid package worth almost $1.6 billion to support Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. The package is the largest tranche of military assistance provided by Sweden since the start of the Russian invasion in 2022.
The package includes equipment, spare parts, and funding for various sectors such as air defense, artillery, satellite communications, and maritime capacity. Sweden will also provide $540 million to support Ukraine’s Drone Line project.

* The package is valued at almost $1.6 billion
* Includes equipment worth $912 million, which will be delivered in the next 0-24 months
* Encompasses a $465 million donation to international multilateral initiatives and purchases from the Ukrainian defense industry
* Kyiv will receive material and spare parts worth about $93 million, including machine guns, ammunition, and vehicles for air base maintenance
* Sweden is allocating $46 million for an export guarantee to supplement procurement for donations to Ukraine
**Increased Support for Ukraine**
Sweden’s support for Ukraine since 2022 amounts to 80 billion Swedish kronor ($8 billion), making it one of the largest donors. The latest package brings the total value of Swedish military aid to Ukraine to almost $10 billion.
