The government of Sweden has agreed give about $29 million to help Romania replace some parts of its system. The money will be used to buy new projectiles and sensors the Patriot system.

Last year, Romania gave its Patriot system to to help them defend against enemy attacks. Now, Sweden is helping Romania get the equipment back that it needs to run the system properly. This comes from project led by Germany called Immediate Action on Air Defence (IAAD).

The IAAD project helps countries that have donated to Ukraine. Sweden joined this project in and has already agreed to give money to help Ukraine’s air defense.
