**Sweden Helps Romania Replace Air Defense System**
The government of Sweden has agreed to give about $29 million to help Romania replace some parts of its air defense system. The money will be used to buy new projectiles and sensors for the Patriot system.
Last year, Romania gave its Patriot system to Ukraine to help them defend against enemy attacks. Now, Sweden is helping Romania get the equipment back that it needs to run the system properly. This support comes from a project led by Germany called Immediate Action on Air Defence (IAAD).
The IAAD project helps countries that have donated air defense systems to Ukraine. Sweden joined this project in autumn and has already agreed to give money to help Ukraine’s air defense.
