Tbilisi welcomes a new park in Temka District

In the Temka district of Tbilisi, Zgvis Ubani has opened a park of great importance.
The press service at the Tbilisi City Hall reported that the event was opened on the opening night by the group “Mix2ra”, who offered the listeners well known and beloved compositions.
The mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze addressed the and congratulated locals on the opening of a city park.
“A park of great significance for the city is being opened. It will be the largest park in the capital. I want to recall the situation when we first came here, it was unsanitary and a swamp. We promised the locals that we would build a coolest and greenest recreational area, and today, this promise has been fulfilled. Congratulations to you all. I am elated with you. I wish you all the best. Implementation of these project brought -term stability to the country. I want everyone to understand that peace and tranquility are the only options. We will continue to develop the country, maintain, reconstruct, revive our city and add many more recreational spaces in the capital”, said Kakha Kaladze.
He thanked the residents and the performers of the park’s opening, as well as the “ group” that participated.
At the event, the Chairman of Tbilisi City Council Giorgi Tkemaladze was also present, as were the Deputy Mayor Andria basilaya, the Nadzaladevi district Irakli Andghuladze and members of the of Georgia.
Tbilisi City Hall claims that a park of the same size, built on 25 hectares of land, was not built in Tbilisi at the time of Georgia’s Independence.
“The park was built on top of a swampy landfill for which the city service for environmental of Tbilisi City Hall carried out important and large-scale work.
“Necessary greening measures were taken on the territory, and 75,000 different species of plants were planted.” The information from the Tbilisi City Hall shows that the cost of the work is 39,280.534.68 GEL.
The Georgian band had been expected to perform at a park opening concert. However, they canceled the concert a few days before, suggesting instead that everyone go to a march planned by the Opposition, a pro march that took place also on , parallel with the concert. The City Hall was forced to select another band to perform at this concert.
