Teona Aqubardia, one of the leaders from “Gakharia For Georgia”, said that we will not legitimize the rigged elections or the parliament whose legitimacy is unknown in Georgia and in the West. “Georgian Dream”, stands in front the mirror, convincing itself that all is well when in fact everything is very bad. According to her, a return to a democratic and European path for the country is the main objective, which can only be achieved through unity and various forms of resistance.
“The fact that our party does not organize rallies, but we participate in them as citizens along with our voters is not a new thing, this process continues. It is important to express peaceful protests, which are a constitutional right, in order to achieve the common goal of saving democracy and the future of Europe for this country. We will not legitimize these rigged election, including the Parliament, whose legitimacy has not been recognized in the West or at home. We have a different vision of the future, which Giorgi Gakharia shares with our voters and public. We also participate in peaceful demonstrations, a form of resistance that is known as peaceful protests.
“Georgian Dream”, which is a pro-Western party, is able to convince itself that all is well, even though it is not. The country is in a serious political crisis because of the security risks created. We are able to state this clearly and I am sure that other pro Western parties will also do the same. Aqubardia stated that the main goal of returning the country to a democratic path and the European path can only be achieved through unity.
