In a video message to the Georgians, American congressman and Chairman of the Helsinki Commission Joe Wilson, (Republican Party), said that October 26 was a momentous occasion for the extraordinary people in Georgia.
He said that the choice of Georgians is clear.
“October 26 is an important moment in the history of the extraordinary people from Georgia. The Georgians are clear. They want a government which respects their desire to have closer ties with dynamic European nations, the rule of Law, transparency and accountability.
“They reject war-criminal Putin‘s attempts at taking away his hard-won autonomy as he murderously attempts to recreate the failed Soviet Union.
“Georgia’s way forward is rooted on the common values of self-determination and freedom. The EU and NATO promise a future of prosperity and security based on democratic principles.
“The friendship between Georgians and Americans is strong, and based on our shared commitment to freedom and democracy. In the spirit Megobari Act supports the Georgians for a better future.
Wilson said, “Thank you and may God bless America for supporting the Georgians.
