Vasyl Nechet, the head of occupied Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, was injured after his car exploded. The incident happened on December 24, outside a house in a yard.
According to reports, Nechet’s car exploded, and he was taken to the hospital. His current condition is not known. Russian officials have been targeted in occupied parts of Ukraine and inside Russia before.
Nechet previously ran a house of culture in Berdiansk. He later joined the pro-Russian regime and was appointed head of the occupation council. Ukrainian authorities have accused him of collaborationism.
**Ukraine Reports Drone Attacks**
Russian forces launched 60 drones at Ukraine overnight from Russian cities. According to reports, 14 crew members were rescued, and two remain missing.
The drones were launched from Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primosk-Akhtarsk. Ukrainian authorities have reported significant losses since Russia’s invasion in February 2022.
