CEC Session Resumes After Brief Technical Break
The Central Election Commission (CEC) session has resumed after a short interruption. The Chairman of the CEC, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, apologized to the public for the brief halt in proceedings.
Kalandarishvili returned to the session with a bandaged eye, likely due to an injury sustained during the earlier incident. He expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and emphasized that such incidents would not be allowed to disrupt the electoral process.
The controversy that led to Kalandarishvili’s brief absence began when Davit Kirtadze, representing “Unity – National Movement“, called him a “black spot” and painted his face with black paint. This occurred after Kirtadze made a statement about Kalandarishvili, which resulted in the Chairman being disconnected from the microphone due to time constraints.
The session is now continuing, despite this incident.
