**Ukraine Works on Developing Its Own Guided Bombs**
The Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Anatolii Barhylevych, said on November 24 that his country is working on making its own guided aerial bombs. This effort aims to counter the threat of Russian anti-aircraft missiles.
Guided aerial bombs are a type of precision-guided munition that have a shorter range than missiles but cost much less to produce. Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, recently said that his country has invested over $4 billion in defense production and has had success in manufacturing drones.
**A Major Priority for Ukraine**
The threat of Russian anti-aircraft missiles remains a top concern for Ukraine. Barhylevych emphasized during a telethon on Yedyni Novyny that the Armed Forces are working hard to counter these attacks effectively.
When asked about the progress of guided aerial bombs, Barhylevych confirmed that efforts were ongoing and expressed confidence in achieving success. This development is part of Ukraine’s broader effort to boost its defense capabilities in the face of ongoing conflict with Russia.
