**EU Suspends Visa-Free Travel for Some Georgian Citizens**
The European Union has decided to limit visa-free travel for some Georgian citizens. This decision was made by the Council of the EU.
**Who is Affected?**
The suspension will affect:
* Members of Georgia’s official delegations attending meetings and events in EU countries.
* Members of Georgia’s government, parliament, Constitutional Court, and Supreme Court.
* Holders of diplomatic passports.
**Ordinary Passports Still Valid**
However, Georgian citizens with ordinary passports can still travel to the EU for short stays without a visa. They are exempt from visa requirements.
**New Rules May Apply**
The EU says that once the suspension takes effect, EU countries may decide to require visas for holders of certain types of passports. These include diplomatic, service/official, and special passports.
