**Protesters Speak Out Against Custody Decision**
A crowd gathered in the courtyard of the City Court to protest a decision made by Judge Irakli Khuskivadze. The judge had kept eight people arrested during recent protests in custody.
The protesters were angry and showed their discontent through chanting slogans like “Down with the regime – freedom for the prisoners” and “Unjust court – fear the power of the people”.
One person even offered to lend balaclavas to police officers whose faces were not visible, a clear reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs‘ own rules. The protester joked that this would make everyone equal.
The eight individuals are accused of organizing and participating in violence during the protests. They remain in custody while their cases continue.
