The clinical director of a hospital, Zurab Chkhaidze, has urged the family and lawyers of Mzia Amaghlobeli, the director of news website Batumelebi/Netgazeti, to convince her to end her 37-day hunger strike. On the 82nd day of anti-regime rallies, protesters gathered outside the Public Broadcaster and marched towards Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. They were chanting slogans such as “Freedom for regime prisoners” and calling for new elections.
**GD Party Proposes Changes to Law**
Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the Georgian Dream party, announced plans to amend the Georgian Criminal Code to include an article on treason. He also outlined several legislative initiatives expected to be introduced in parliament this week.
