**PACE Rejects Georgian Delegation’s Full Credentials**
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has delayed the ratification of Georgia’s full delegation credentials. This decision was made to ensure that Georgia follows a democratic path.
PACE insists that the Georgian government hold new elections and release all political prisoners before its next session. The resolution was passed with 114 votes in favor, 13 against, and seven abstentions.
**Georgian Dream Responds**
Tea Tsulukiani, head of the Georgian Dream (GD) delegation to PACE, announced that the delegation would suspend its work in the Assembly. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze supported this decision, saying it was the only viable option given the current circumstances.
Kobakhidze also downplayed the importance of PACE, saying it is less important than the European Parliament. He stated that U.S.-Georgia relations will normalize once the “deep state” is overcome.
**Concerns About Business and Elections**
Transparency International Georgia reported that Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family members have started transferring business assets from offshore entities to companies registered in Georgia.
The GD party has also proposed legislative amendments that would allow current members of the Central Election Commission of Georgia to carry service weapons. This move has raised concerns about election transparency.
**Public Demands Change**
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of the Georgian Public Broadcaster, calling for airtime and demanding the release of all detained protesters. The crowd marched from the GPB building toward Rustaveli Avenue, holding banners in support of Mzia Amaglobeli.
Protesters are still demanding early elections and the release of all detainees.
