In a meeting yesterday, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, and the Indian Ambassador to Georgia, Kashan Dual, discussed the opening the Indian Embassy in Georgia, and the intensification the negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement between the two nations.
The decision of the Republic of India, to open an Embassy in Georgia, is highly anticipated as the relationship between the two countries is flourishing.
The further development of economic and trade relations between India, and Georgia was given special attention. This will contribute significantly to the completion of the free trade agreement.
The Ambassador of India reiterated that the Republic of India is ready to intensify the negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement.
A feasibility study relevant to the situation has already been carried out. The first round of negotiations between the two countries will be held in the near future.
