Ukrainian Team Shows New Drone Technology
A team of Ukrainian developers has shown new technology that makes drones harder to stop. They demonstrated fiber-optic communication systems that can be used in military drones.
These systems make the drones less vulnerable to electronic attacks, which are a major threat to them. Ukraine has already been using this type of control system in some aerial vehicles. But this is the first time it’s been shown on ground drones.
The technology was demonstrated at a recent event called Demo Day. The team showed how fiber-optic cables can be used to control both ground and air drones. The cable weighs 2.3 kg and can stretch up to 10 km long.
This new system allows for the stable transmission of data with minimal delay. It has a high bandwidth, making it fast and reliable. The team also demonstrated how the technology works on rough terrain, including reverse capabilities for ground platforms.
