On 7 October, the attacks by Hamas gunmen on southern Israel, where approximately 1,200 people died and 251 were taken hostage, will mark one year.
Hadas Kalderon, a Nir Oz resident, survived the attack. However, her mother and niece died.
Her two youngest children, along with their father, were taken to Gaza.
Her children returned home in November last year, but her ex-husband is still being held captive.
She spoke to the BBC about continuing her fight after a year.
According to Hamas’ health authority, since the beginning of the war, nearly 42,000 people in Gaza have died.
