The GD Chair has ruled out any consultations on Saakashvili

Irakli Kobakhidze is the chair of the ruling (GD). He stated that the government had ruled out engaging with Ukraine in consultations over the case of former Mikheil Sakashvili.
As Kobakhidze pointed out, the Georgian ambassador in Ukraine, Giorgi Zakarashvili, was in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict, unlike the other ambassadors of Ukraine’s strategic partners.

On July 4, Ukraine’s said that the Georgian government must stop abuse of the Ukrainian citizen Mikheil Sakaashvili, and asked the Georgian ambassador to return to Tbilisi in order to resolve the issue.
The stated that “in this regard, it was suggested that Ambassador of Georgia in Ukraine, Giorgi Zakarashvili, return to Tbilisi to consult to find ways to resolve the situation.”
