**Germany Reviews Cooperation with Georgia**
The German government is reviewing its cooperation with Georgia. This decision was made by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
No new projects or loan agreements will be made with Georgia until further notice. The ministry has the right to take more measures in consultation with other European and international partners.
**German Minister Criticizes Georgian Government**
The German Minister for Economic Cooperation, Svenja Schulze, has also spoken out against the Georgian government’s decision to suspend negotiations with the European Union. This decision will block Georgia’s chance of joining the EU until 2028.
The minister says that most Georgians want their country to join the EU and are protesting in the streets for this goal. The Georgian Constitution also mentions rapprochement with the EU. The German government has supported Georgia’s path towards the EU, but this cooperation can no longer happen with the current Georgian government.
**Future Cooperation**
The minister says that if Georgia changes its stance on joining the EU, then Germany might continue to support their European ties in some form.
