**Ukraine’s Notorious Judge Temporarily Suspended**
Pavlo Vovk, a judge from the Kyiv District Administrative Court (OASK), has been temporarily removed from his duties. This decision was made by the High Council of Justice on November 13.
Vovk had previously faced charges for serious crimes, including usurpation of power and organized crime. His suspension will remain in effect until he is either dismissed or cleared of these charges.
**Why Was Vovk Suspended?**
In March this year, the High Qualification Commission of Judges recognized that Vovk was unable to prove his ability to administer justice fairly. This led to his temporary removal from office.
**What’s Next for Vovk?**
The Third Disciplinary Chamber has unanimously decided on Vovk’s future dismissal. If the High Council of Justice agrees, he will be permanently removed from his position as a judge. Otherwise, his suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
