Lithuania Imposes Sanctions on 17 Georgian Politicians
Lithuania‘s Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, announced that the country has imposed sanctions on 17 Georgian politicians. This includes Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The sanctions were imposed in coordination with Estonia. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister expressed his disapproval of violence against peaceful protesters, journalists, and opposition members. He also called for joint actions at the European Union level to address this issue.
These new sanctions bring the total number of sanctioned Georgian politicians to a significant figure.
