**Ukrainian Forces Gain Ground Near Dvorichna**
Ukrainian forces have taken back some territory near the village of Dvorichna in Kharkiv Oblast. This was confirmed by Oles Maliarevych, the deputy commander of the Ukrainian army’s Achilles unmanned systems regiment.
According to Maliarevych, Russian forces had been trying to establish a foothold on the western bank of the Oskil River near Dvorichna for months. However, Ukrainian troops have been able to push them back and reclaim some territory in recent days.
**Russian Forces Suffer Losses**
Maliarevych said that while Russian forces have not made significant gains, they continue to launch heavy assaults on the Kupiansk sector. He reported that Russian troops had suffered “quite serious losses” on the western bank of the Oskil River.
The deputy commander also noted that some Russian soldiers who managed to cross the river had entrenched themselves in makeshift defenses. However, Ukrainian forces have been able to destroy these defenses and prevent further Russian advances.
**Russian Tactics**
Maliarevych said that Russian forces are using infantry units and pontoon crossings to try and gain a foothold on the western bank of the Oskil River. However, Ukrainian troops have been able to intercept and destroy these crossings, preventing Russian advances.
The deputy commander noted that some small groups of Russian soldiers had managed to infiltrate certain areas, but this did not necessarily mean full control by Russian forces.
