**Serbian Prosecutors Take Over Railway Station Case**
The case of the Novi Sad Railway Station has been transferred to a more powerful prosecution unit. This change will allow prosecutors to investigate top officials.
The station’s collapse on November 1 killed 15 people. The Special Section on Corruption at the Novi Sad Higher Prosecution was handling the case, but it didn’t have the power to look into the responsibility of government officials. Belgrade Prosecution head Jasmina Paunovic said that the Novi Sad prosecution section couldn’t investigate officials in high positions.
**New Investigation**
Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac decided to transfer the case to a unit that deals with organized crime and terrorism. She believes that the investigation should continue independently and with top priority. The new unit will look into possible crimes committed by government officials.
Dolovac also invited protesting students to send representatives to a meeting. She wants to discuss whether their demands towards prosecutors have been met.
