Russian Missile Strike Hits Kyiv, Damages Media Office
On February 12, a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv damaged the office of two state news channels: Freedom TV and Dim. The channels said they remain operational despite the damage.
The strike hit an industrial zone with multiple office centers. According to eyewitnesses, everything within a 300-meter radius was affected. Windows were shattered, facades were demolished, and doors were blown off.
No casualties were reported from the media offices, but the channels condemned the attack. Freedom TV stated that “terrorists” who disregard international law often target the media. Russia has previously attacked Ukraine‘s media infrastructure, including a strike on Kharkiv‘s TV broadcasting tower in April 2024 and Kyiv’s TV tower in March 2022.
In related news, at least one person was killed and four injured in the city during the morning attack.
