In the parliamentary committees work is underway to fulfill the 12-point condition that the European Union has set for Georgia in order to grant it candidate status.
The Committee on Procedural Issues & Rules of Parliament will hold the first session with the agenda. The session will take place on July 7 at 12:00.
Georgian Dream plans to create a number of working groups within parliamentary committees in order to meet the 12 conditions set forth by the European Union. A working group is being formed to work on the deoligarchization law. A monitoring group will also be formed to help depolarize.
Irakli Kobihidze, the Chairman of the ruling Party, presented on July 1 a plan to implement the 12 points listed in the European Union. The plan calls for the creation of a working group at the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules of the parliament, with representatives of all the parliamentary parties and the civil society, to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of the regulations of the Parliament in the area of parliamentary oversight and to prepare a legislative proposal to correct the identified deficiencies.
