**Police Use Water Cannon on Rally Participants**
In front of the Georgian Parliament, police officers used a water cannon to control a crowd of protesters. The protesters were shouting and chanting “Georgia, Georgia”.
The situation quickly became tense as some protesters threw pyrotechnics in the direction of the law enforcement officers.
The rally participants are protesting against a decision made by “Georgian Dream“, the ruling party. They are unhappy that Georgia will not begin negotiating for membership in the European Union until 2028.
