**New Ministers Nominated by Prime Minister**
The Georgian Prime Minister has announced three new ministerial nominees ahead of the country’s parliament session. The nominations were made on November 25.
**Foreign Affairs Minister**
Maka Botchorishvili, a former Chair of the European Integration Committee, has been nominated as the Foreign Affairs Minister. She will be responsible for overseeing Georgia’s foreign relations.
**Justice Minister**
Anri Okhanashvili, who previously chaired the parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee, is set to lead the Ministry of Justice. He will oversee the country’s justice system.
**Environment and Agriculture Minister**
Davit Songhulashvili, Chair of the Sectoral Economy and Economic Development Committee, has been nominated as the Environment and Agriculture Minister. He will be in charge of environmental and agricultural policies.
These nominations come amidst controversy surrounding Georgia’s recent elections. The opposition parties have refused to participate in the new parliament, citing widespread electoral rigging. The international community is also showing its disapproval by boycotting the opening session. President Salome Zurabishvili has challenged the election results in court, but the Prime Minister is pushing ahead with the first session despite concerns about procedure.
