Prosecutor’s Office Files Charges Over Tbilisi Rally Attack
A person has been charged for attacking police officers during a rally in Tbilisi, Georgia. The General Prosecutor‘s Office announced the news.
According to the investigation, the accused used a wooden stick to hurt three policemen on November 19. He was arrested two days later and now faces charges under Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
This article makes it a crime to attack police officers while they are doing their job. If convicted, the person could face up to 7 years in prison.
The prosecutor’s office has asked a court to take action against the accused before the trial starts. The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
