**Georgia’s Public Defender Attends European Conference**
On March 27-28, 2025, Georgia’s top defender of human rights, Levan Ioseliani, and his deputy Tamar Gvaramadze, went to a meeting in Europe.
The meeting was organized by the Council of Europe. It brought together defenders from many countries. They talked about how to protect people’s rights during times of crisis.
The discussions included:
* Best ways to keep human rights safe
* The role of these defenders in making sure countries follow rules and laws
* How they can work with each other and the Council of Europe
The meeting also looked at how to use technology in a way that respects people’s rights.
