**Tighter Rules for Interfering with Election Commission**
The government is making changes to the election law. This includes stricter rules for people who interfere with the work of the election commission.
Right now, anyone who gets involved in the election commission’s business can be fined 500 GEL (Georgian Lari). The new rules would make this fine much higher – 2,000 GEL.
Some members of parliament are behind these changes. They want to make sure that people respect the work of the election commission and don‘t try to meddle in their activities.
