**Romania’s Presidential Election Results Overturned**
A surprise twist has occurred in Romania’s presidential election. The initial results showed Georgescu as the frontrunner with 23% of the votes, followed by Elena Lasconi with 19%. However, this may no longer be the case.
**New Documents Reveal Campaign Manipulation**
The Constitutional Court judges have reviewed new documents that suggest Georgescu’s campaign was manipulated from abroad. The records show a large-scale effort to artificially increase his popularity, taking it from 1% to 22%, in just two weeks before the election.
**Social Media Played a Role**
According to the documents, almost 25,000 TikTok accounts were used to promote Georgescu’s campaign. These accounts showed minimal activity before November 11, but suddenly became very active shortly thereafter. The campaign also involved recruiting influencers and creating fake accounts that reported on Romanian state institutions’ activities.
**Georgescu’s Plans for Ukraine**
As the election results hang in balance, Georgescu has announced plans to ban Ukrainian grain exports through Romania if elected. He would also halt further military aid to Ukraine.
