**Ukraine Targets Russian Oil Infrastructure**
On November 29, Ukraine’s Defense Forces launched drone strikes against critical Russian oil infrastructure. The targets included the Atlas oil depot in Rostov Oblast and an oil refinery near Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai.
**Drone Strikes Cause Fires and Explosions**
According to reports from Russian Telegram channels, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the attack on the Rostov oil depot, which resulted in two fires. The Atlas oil depot is part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and supplies fuel to Russian troops. This is not the first time the depot has been targeted, with a similar drone strike occurring this summer.
**Tuapse Refinery Also Hit**
Simultaneously, Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai faced explosions during the same night. News Telegram channels shared footage showing smoke rising from the sea near Tuapse following a “massive UAV attack.” The extent of the damage to the Tuapse oil refinery remains unclear.
**Russia Claims Many Drones Intercepted**
Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed that 47 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight, including 29 in Rostov Oblast and others in several other regions. However, video evidence contradicts this account, showing a large fire engulfing the Atlas depot near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky.
**Ukraine’s Strategy to Disrupt Russian Logistics**
These incidents mark the continuation of Ukraine’s strategy to target Russian military logistics and fuel supplies. Ukraine has intensified its long-range drone attacks against Russia in recent months, disrupting fuel and ammunition supplies crucial for the Russian military.
