**Parliament Investigates “United National Movement”**
A meeting is taking place in the Georgian Parliament. Members of a special commission are questioning people about the activities of the party “United National Movement”.
Today, the commission is listening to General Mamuka Kurashvili. He is wearing his military uniform. The commission will also hear from other people: Giorgi Khaindrava, who used to be in charge of conflict resolution; his deputy, Giorgi Volski; and Irakli Batiashvili.
The commission is looking into events that happened before the war between Russia and Georgia. They want to know more about the peace process that took place at that time. This will also be discussed today.
Paata Salia said what would happen during the meeting: “We will first listen to General Mamuka Kurashvili’s testimony. Then we will talk about the peace policy and related events with Mr. Goga Khaindrava, Giorgi Volski, and Irakli Batiashvili.”
