**Abkhazia “Election” Results Announced**
The central election commission of Abkhazia has announced that Badra Gunba won the second round of the presidential election. According to the commission, Gunba got 54.73% of the vote.
This means he will become the president of Abkhazia. The voting took place on March 1 and about 70% of the people living in Abkhazia participated. That’s around 100,000 people.
Gunba won by a significant margin. His rival, Adgur Ardzinba, got 41.54% of the vote. The chairman of the central election commission, Dmitry Marshan, made this announcement.
It’s worth noting that many countries do not recognize Abkhazia as an independent state and consider its elections to be invalid.
