**Russia’s Donestk Court Sentences Georgian Commander**
A court in Donetsk, which is temporarily controlled by Russia, has sentenced Mamuka Mamulashvili to 23 years in prison. This happened even though he was not present at the trial.
Three other Georgian fighters – Giorgi Rusitashvili, Nodar Petriashvili, and Vano Nadiradze – were also given a 14-year sentence. The court said they had joined an armed conflict as mercenaries.
The court claimed that Mamulashvili had recruited men from outside countries to fight in the conflict. He was accused of receiving around $300,000 for his actions.
