CEC Members to Get State Compensation
A new law proposal has been made in the Parliament. This idea comes from the “Georgian Dream” party members.
The proposal says that the head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and its members will get state compensation when they reach 65 years old or have at least 25 years of work experience. They must have worked for CEC for 5 years without a break.
If a member is found guilty of breaking electoral laws, they won’t be eligible for this compensation.
The authors of the proposal are several members of Parliament: Givi Mikhanadze, Archil Gorduladze, and others.
